Banks Township evicting former garage owner

The Banks Township Supervisors are taking action to evict the former owner of a garage in the village of Audenried the township now owns.

The township supervisors held a special meeting to direct the township solicitor, John Solt, to commence litigation against Daniel Leto, the former property owner, to take action of ejectment.

The township took ownership of the former auto garage and the .32 acre of the property it sits on along Route 309 in the village of Audenried at sheriff’s sale for back taxes owed.

Supervisor Charles Schalles said the township cannot do anything with the property until Leto moves out. There are several vehicles outside the garage, plus whatever is inside the garage.
