State police at the Frackville barracks said a treatment center in Mahanoy Township had to be evacuated after a client intentionally started a fire in the building at 5:44 p.m. Sunday.

Police were called tot the Silver Pines Treatment Center, 5 White Owl Avenue and Jody Thomas, 51, of Harrisburg was taken into custody. Police said she is facing arson charges.

The Mahanoy City Fire Department responded to the incident.

The facility is a drug and alcohol addiction treatment center.
