Two homes damaged by fire in Nesquehoning

Firefighters from the region are on the scene of a fire that damaged two homes at 255 E. Railroad Street in Nesquehoning. The fire was reported just after 7:30 a.m. Sunday.

According to reports on the scene the residents are out of the house. Firefighters rescued at least one cat. Four dogs are reported missing.

On scene are companies from Nesquehoning, Hauto, New Columbus, Lehighton, Weatherly, Lansford and Summit Hill.
