Carbon County Commissioners acted on the following items during their weekly meeting last week.
• Approved a disbursement agreement between Northeast Industrial Services Corp. of Shamokin and Great Horn Financial Services LLC relative to the 135-139 N. First St., Lehighton demolition project.
• Adopted a proclamation naming April as Pennsylvania 811 Safe Digging Month.
Personnel
• Resignations: Brenda M. Lescure of Blakeslee, 911 operator, effective Feb. 8; and Melanie K. Taglieri of Palmerton, legal secretary III, public defender’s office, effective April 12.
• Prison board appointments: Lauren E. Andrews of White Haven and Maribel Soto of Tamaqua, corrections officers, both effective April 1.
• Hires: Julia Franko of Hazleton, 911 operator; and Jordan Devitt of Jim Thorpe, county caseworker II, children and youth, both effective April 3.
• Court resignation: Maria R. Burits of Lehighton, probation officer I, adult probation, effective April 5.
• Change of status: Collin T. Frost of Allentown, from probation officer I (Pretrial services) to probation officer I, adult probation, effective April 2; Joseph Powierski of Albrightsville, from probation officer I to probation officer I (Pretrial services), effective April 2; and Molly E. Sheridan of Summit Hill, from domestic relations officer I to assistant director, domestic relations, effective April 1.
