Power outages throughout area

The storm has knocked out power to some residents throughout the Times News area.

The traffic light is out at the Route 209 intersection with Harrity Road in Franklin Township.

Detours are in effect in some areas. A tree is blocking Lower Smith Gap Road in Kunkletown. Debris is on the road on Lentz Trail outside Jim Thorpe.

In Carbon County, 1,069 people are without power, including 258 in East Penn Township, 11 in Franklin Township, 29 in Jim Thorpe. 558 in Kidder Township, 3 in Parryville and 210 in Penn Forest Township.

In Lehigh County, more than 3,000 residents are without power, including 32 in Washington Township.

In Monroe County, more than 2,000 residents are out, including 89 in Chestnuthill and 3 in Polk Township.

In Schuylkill County, more than 1,500 are without power including eight residents are in Rush Township, 57 in West Penn Township and one in Tamaqua.
