First Saturday worship with Holy Communion at Trinity Lutheran Church, 175 S. 3rd St., Lehighton begins at 4 p.m. Sunday worship with Holy Communionn begins at 9:30 a.m. Synodically Approved Lay Minister Kathy Long presides. Coffeehouse fellowship is in Luther Hall afterward.

Sunday Church School classes for students age 3 through grade 6 and confirmation preparatory instruction classes for students grades 7-8 begin at 10:45 a.m.

The Food Pantry is open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesdays (and third Tuesday from 5:30 to 7 p.m.) with an outdoor drive-up setting. Residents who reside in the Lehighton Area School District are eligible to receive supplemental food.

The Trinity Thrift Store hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesdays; 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursdays and Saturdays. Donation drop-offs are accepted during store hours. Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/trinitythriftstore.

Looking ahead is a youth pancake brunch fundraiser from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on April 14. Proceeds benefit youth service projects and activities.

St. John’s

St. John’s Lutheran Church of Mahoning, 826 Mahoning Dr. W., Lehighton will hold a Fermenting Our Faith Discussion Group on April 9 at 7 p.m. at St John’s.

A Spring Clothing Drive will be held in April and May. There will be a large box in the Narthex for items. Items should be specific for the Spring and Summer months. Donations will be given to the area homeless and in need.

Dinkey Memorial Church has a food cupboard available to those in need of supplemental food resources. It is available to members of Dinkey Memorial and St. John’s, and to residents of East Penn Township. The distribution is the third Thursday of every month from 3:30 to 5 p.m. in Dinkey’s Social Room, located below the sanctuary. If you or anyone you know would benefit from receiving food from the Community Cupboard, please speak with Pastor Tony.

Rummage Sale event will be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on April 12 and from 8 a.m. to noon on April 13. Jewelry will be excluded from the bag sale. The church will be collecting for the Carbon County Animal Shelter and the Carbon County Friends of Animals Shelter. Bring a donation and receive a chance to win a $25 gift card to Walmart or Giant. Ben Salem UCC

Ben Salem UCC, 1965 Church Hill Road, Lehighton will hold an 8 a.m. worship service with a Praise Band; 10:15 a.m. traditional service; and Sunday school classes at 9 a.m. Communion service will be the first Sunday of each month.

• Wednesday at 6:30 p.m., Senior Choir Practice

• Thursday at 6:45 p.m., Handbell Choir Practice

• King’s Kids Choir will practice the first and second Sunday of the month following the 10:15 worship service. Any child interested in joining, please contact the church for further contact information.

• King’s Kids Choir will sing the third Sunday of the month.

• Healing Service on April 14 at noon.

• Blessing of the Bikes on May 5 following the 10:15 worship service
