Palmerton Borough Council took the following action on Wednesday:

• Approved the revised equipment rental price schedule.

• Approved the equipment of rental agreement with Lehighton Borough for rental of Palmerton’s street sweeper.

• Approved the equipment rental agreement with Bowmanstown Borough, updated for new pricing for the vac truck.

• Conditionally approved the Edgemont Street extension.

• Adopted an ordinance amendment amending streets and sidewalks.

• Approved a fire police assistance request.

• Announced that the Palmerton Memorial Pool Association is looking to hire lifeguards, as well as several other positions.
