Pleasant Valley High School Principal Frank Pullo has been appointed to be the new assistant superintendent of the school district.

The appointment will become effective July 1, when the assistant superintendent, Ken Reid, will become the superintendent, upon the retirement of John Nye.

A 1968 graduate if Bangor Area High School, Pullo holds a bachelor’s degree in secondary education (mathematics) from East Stroudsburg University and a master’s degree in education (secondary guidance), which he obtained from Lehigh University in 1974.

He has served in the Pleasant Valley District since 1984 when he first became principal of the John C. Mills Middle School.
