Holy Week worship at Trinity Lutheran Church, 175 S. 3rd St., Lehighton:

• Maundy Thursday, 7 p.m. with Holy Communion. Three students will receive their first Holy Communion. This milestone comes after weekly classroom instructions.

• Good Friday Tenebrae at 7 p.m.

Easter Sunday Worship with Holy Communion, Gospel procession and special music begins at 9:30 a.m. Synodically Approved Lay Minister Kathy Long presides.

Sunday school and confirmation classes resume on April 7.

The Food Pantry is open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesdays (and third Tuesday from 5:30 to 7 p.m.) with an outdoor drive-up setting. Residents who reside in the Lehighton Area School District are eligible to receive supplemental food.

The Trinity Thrift Store hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesdays; 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursdays and Saturdays. Donation drop-offs are accepted during store hours. Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/trinitythriftstore.

Looking ahead is a youth pancake brunch fundraiser from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on April 14. Proceeds benefit youth service projects and activities.

St. John’s

St. John’s Lutheran Church of Mahoning, 826 Mahoning Dr. W., Lehighton Easter week schedule:

Maundy Thursday Service: March 28, 7 p.m.

Good Friday Service: March 29, 7 p.m. at St. Peter’s Church, Mantzville.

Easter Sunday Service: 6:30 a.m. at Dinkey Memorial Cemetery, 7 a.m. Breakfast at Dinkey Memorial Lutheran Church, Worship Service 9 a.m. at Dinkey Memorial Lutheran Church and 10:15 a.m. Easter Egg Hunt in Dinkey Memorial Cemetery.

10:45 a.m. Worship at St. John’s Lutheran Church of Mahoning.

A Spring Clothing Drive will be held in April and May. There will be a large box in the Narthex for items. Items should be specific for the Spring and Summer months. Donations will be given to the area homeless and in need.

Dinkey Memorial Church has a food cupboard available to those in need of supplemental food resources. It is available to members of Dinkey Memorial and St. John’s, and to residents of East Penn Township. The distribution is the third Thursday of every month from 3:30 to 5 p.m. in Dinkey’s Social Room, located below the sanctuary. If you or anyone you know would benefit from receiving food from the Community Cupboard, please speak with Pastor Tony.
