Eldred Township

The regular meeting of the board of supervisors will be held at 7 p.m. The bid announcement for the Roofing Replacement Project was also postponed until this evening.

Food distribution

The Supplemental Food Resource Center at Effort UMC reported that 69 hams, turkeys, ducks and one goose were distributed for Easter.

Sign-ups needed

Our Lady Queen of Peace has two sign-ups available for parishioners.

First is this week from the close of The Mass of the Lord’s Supper to Good Friday evening Passion. This opportunity for Adoration is a little different; the Eucharist is not exposed, but rather in a separate tabernacle.

The church must have full coverage into Friday morning due to access to the Church and needing to keep watch over the tabernacle.

Father Simon has brought this devotion to the Parish and would really like to have full coverage.

The next opportunity for the church’s First Friday 24-hour Adoration is April 5 and 6.

If you would like assistance in signing up, please feel free to reach out to the church secretary.
