Kidder supervisors could approve truck terminal today

The Kidder Township supervisors will consider the approval of the third truck terminal along Route 940 at their 5:30 p.m. meeting today, according to a news release from the group LOVE Kidder Twp.

According to the news release, the truck terminal is proposed by Blue Ridge Realty, a large landowner in the township. Blue Ridge was also the developer of the first truck terminal on Route 940. Action by the supervisors will mean approval pending approval of Dept. of Environmental Protection permits, according to the group.

A third truck terminal will result in a total of 2.2 million square feet of truck terminal space in the township, the group says.

LOVE Kidder Twp. was organized by residents who oppose any additional truck terminals and have attended supervisors meetings to speak against approval of truck terminal #3.
