Harry Solt was elected president of the Franklin Township Volunteer Fire Company when it held its monthly meeting and election of officers last night.

Other officers elected include Nevin Seltzer, vice president; Dennis Frey, secretary; Roy Smith, treasurer; and Ronald Solt, financial secretary.

Lester Wentz was named trustee for a five-year term while Monroe Cressley was appointed trustee for a three-year term, succeeding Solt upon his election to the presidency. A letter of resignation from trustee Art Hoffman was tabled.

Auditors named to review the 1971 accounts will be Richard Kibler, Paul Breiner and Charlie Wider.
