ON THIS DATE MARCH 20, 1975

An open house in honor of the golden anniversary of the Lewistown Valley Grange No. 1639 was held recently in the social hall, where a charter signed by members of the House of Representatives was presented to the Grange by Rep. William K. Klingaman, representative from Tamaqua.

Members honored Emma Ruch, who received a 50-year pin, a necklace for being a charter member, a letter from the State Master F. Luther Snyder and a golden star certificate.

Also receiving 50-year pins were Earl Boyer and Katie Buehler, while Raynor Leiby was presented a 25-year pin.
