A total of about 14 acres of land in Penn Forest Township was purchased by a New York doctor for $120,000 from SellAmerica Ltd.

Dr. Roland Foraste of New York City made the purchase.

The land sale was made in two deed transfers filed in the Recorder of Deeds Office in Carbon County, the first transfer involving six separate lots totaling eight acres, which sold for $90,000, and the second transaction being a six-acre tract that sold for $30,000. Sellamerica is the developer of Hickory Run Forest in the township.
