Walnutport has updated its short-term rental ordinance to bring it more in line with modern times.
On a 6-0 vote, borough council on Thursday adopted the short-term rental amendment to the zoning ordinance, after no one commented during a public hearing.
Borough solicitor Michael Corriere said that the zoning would remain R1 and R2, and it would still permit five rental units.
Corriere added that guests can stay for a minimum of three days, and a maximum of no more than 14 days a month.
Borough engineer Jason Newhard previously said that there were no regulations in the zoning ordinance regulating bed-and-breakfasts.
Newhard said this will mandate that the bed-and-breakfast shall be owner-occupied.
Councilman Harold Greene was absent.
