Philosophy of Care: As a board-certified pain specialist, Dr. Grimaldi’s goal is to remove the pain holding his patients back from living their life to the fullest. He has a comprehensive approach to medicine, involving lifestyle modifications, physical therapy, non-opioid medications and interventional procedures.

Conditions treated: Dr. Grimaldi’s patients are treated for a wide range of pain including compression fractures, sciatica, peripheral neuropathy, back and neck, cancer and knee pain.

Services offered: Dr. Grimaldi offers steroid injections, joint injections, spinal cord stimulation and nerve blocks, among other procedures.

Why did you enter medicine? “Medicine represents a truly amazing cross between science and service. I was drawn to medicine so that I could apply my knowledge to help patients when they need it most,” Dr. Grimaldi says.

His goals involve relieving pain, restoring function and improving his patients’ quality of life through individualized treatment plans that are safe and effective. To do that he gets to know each patient and how their pain affects them.

About Dr. Grimaldi: Dr. Grimaldi assumes the role of detective as he listens to patients detailing their ailments, examines them and reviews diagnostic testing and their health history. This allows him to discover the root of their hurt.

“I take time to listen to every patient and develop a treatment plan that is both evidence-based and tailored to specific needs,” Dr. Grimaldi says.

Once he determines cause, he identifies ways to fix it through his medical knowledge and skill set.

While Dr. Grimaldi learns from his patients, he also keeps up with the latest medical advances through journals and conferences. His interest in education adds to the expertise delivered from his offices and results in better patient care.

When a patient experiences diminished pain, it’s something that brings Dr. Grimaldi immediate gratification.
