Camelback Resort is welcoming spring skiing and riding with its annual Pond Skim Event Saturday at Camelback Mountain Adventures, Tannersville.

The event is free and open to participants 18 years or older with lift tickets and their camera-ready supporters and fans.

Free registration opens at 10 a.m. at the base of Sunbowl for participants 18 years and older who have eligible lift tickets.

Participants will line up at 11 a.m. and start the Pond Skim competition.

The Pond Skim will end at 12:30 p.m.

The challenge is to skim across the 90-foot pond at the base of Sunbowl via skis (no poles), snowboards and floaties to see who can show off the most impressive jumps and major splashes to get to the other side of the pond. Wacky and creative costumes will be awarded.
