Response to Debra Becker’s letter - 2/24/2024.

When some people write their letters they spew some facts, only the ones that support their narrative.

Example 1 - Susan Wild co-sponsoring Social Security 2100 Act - If you read the bill it also increases rates for payroll and self employment taxes that fund the program. Common sense - if you increase funding to a government program it will continue. No big accomplishment.

Example 2 - According to C-Span 1/11/1988 Reagan fast tracked NAFTA. NAFTA was signed into law by President Bill Clinton, a Democrat, on 12/8/1993.

There are those who write these letters knowing most people who read them won’t fact check them. But then again as the saying goes - if you say it enough, people will believe it.
