Carbon County agencies are hoping to find ways to help residents facing homelessness.

The 13th annual Carbon County Human Services Breakfast, sponsored by the Carbon County Collaborative, will take place on April 19 at Whispering Pines Banquet Hall, Penn Forest Volunteer Fire Company No. 1, 1387 State Route 903, Jim Thorpe.

The event will include a panel of speakers discussing housing and unsheltered individuals, as well as discuss gaps and resources available in the county. The discussion topic is called “Homeless not Helpless, Finding Your Way Home.”

Doors for the event open at 8:30 a.m. with the breakfast beginning at 9 a.m. The panel program will begin at 9:30 a.m.

A form indicating the names of those attending from the agency, payment of $20 per meal and contact information should be mailed to Lynd at Eastcentral PA AHEC, P.O. Box 616, Lehighton, PA 18235. Payment should be made out to Interagency Council of Carbon County.

Deadline to submit registration is April 10.

Sponsorship opportunities are also available to help offset the cost of the meals and future awards given by the collaborative.
