It’s a more than a month since Lansford council majority decided to not rehire the secretary for the office which has not been opened since. This unheard of move left the taxpayers and residents in a bind because no transactions can be performed.

The one person going in there daily is Bruce Markovich to use the computer which he claims he doesn’t use. No other president of council have used Lansford’s computer for any reason only Bruce. Now they are looking at moving the police station down to the former Silberline offices which I think is a bad idea.

Yes it might be owned by the borough but police need to be seen and they won’t be seen down there. Then one councilperson wants a kitchen. What’s next a gym, a grill outside and lounge chairs? Bruce acts as a dictator, it’s his way or no way. For example what has he done about the sidewalk at the stadium? Nothing. Look at the pool, good money thrown away to rip it up, bought stone, fix the bathrooms and concession stand still no pool. What has he done about the water and sewer authorities salaries? Nothing. He’s worried about the train station which the taxpayers don’t have money for it and should be sold. Maybe it’s time for a recall vote on these council people.
