Polk Township conducted the following business Monday:
• Supervisors voted 3-0 to research having the township building appraised. Chairman Brian Ahner said the recycling center was appraised in 2018 but it has been much longer since the municipal building was appraised.
• There will be a public hearing at 6 p.m. March 26 to discuss an amendment to the short-term rental ordinance. If the change is approved, short-term rentals will no longer be allowed in R-1.
• Three bids were received for power washing, repainting and repairs to the historical society building. They voted 3-0 to hire John Mackes’ company based in Kunkletown.
