Palmerton’s Nataly Walters recently competed at the PTFCA Indoor State Championship at Penn State University.

The junior was third in the long jump with a leap of 18-7.5, and placed sixth in the triple jump with a mark of 37-11.75.

Walters was the Times News/Lehigh Valley Health Network Female Track and Field Athlete of the Year last spring, when she won PIAA Class 2A titles in both the long jump and triple jump.

She established all-time area bests in both the long and triple jumps last season. Walters won District 11 titles in both events, setting meet records with her performances. She also set a Colonial League meet record in the triple jump, and broke four school records last season.
