State police at Fern Ridge

State police at the Fern Ridge barracks reported the following:

• Police were summoned at 3:46 p.m. Feb. 22 to the Pleasant Valley Middle School, Brodheadsville, to investigate a threat of violence.

They said the response was due to a Safe2Say report forwarded to them.

• No one was injured in a one-vehicle crash at 12:52 p.m. Feb. 21 on Interstate 80 in Tunkhannock Township.

Police said Anthony J. Leccese, 31, of Grant, Florida, was driving a 2020 Freightliner eastbound when it traveled off the left shoulder an struck a guide rail before traveling down an embankment into a ditch.

The vehicle sustained heavy disabling damages, police said.

Leccese was cited for the crash.

• Police said a 54-year-old woman from Effort reported a theft by deception/identity theft incident they were called to at 3:56 p.m. Feb. 22.

The woman, who resides on Brian Lane, Chestnuthill Township, told police an unknown person attempted to open accounts through Discover, Chase. Capital One and Target using her personal information.

Police said the accounts were flagged and closed by the woman who did not sustain any loss of funds through the deception.

• Jason Shemansik, 51, of Andreas, was cited for harassment by communication after police were called to an incident at 10:33 a.m. Feb. 21 on Mountain Road, Jackson Township.

Police said the woman is a 56-year-old woman from Stroudsburg.

• Police said a Galaxy S23 Ultra cellphone was stolen from a Brodheadsville man in an incident reported to police at 10:47 a.m. Dec. 13.

They said Giovanny Castillo, 34, told them a package containing the phone, valued at $2,065.93, was stolen from his front porch at 1587 Fawn Valley Drive, Chestnuthill Township, after it was delivered there.

• Nancy Tenbroeck, 80, of Saylorsburg, reported a theft by deception/identity theft incident that police were called to at 12:12 a.m. Jan. 11 at 852 Wiltshire Road, Chestnuthill Township.

Police said she reported someone stole her identity information and withdrew money from her checking and savings accounts.

• Police said Sean Farley, 39, of Albrightsville, is the victim of an incident they labeled harassment by physical contact. It happened at 8:16 p.m. Dec. 21 onMeckesville Road, Penn Forest Township.

Police said a suspect ran over Farley’s foot unitnentionally with her vehicle.
