No one was injured in a crash on Monday at 2:46 p.m. that involved a school bus at the intersection of Route 248 and Centre Street in Parryville.

State police at Lehighton said it happened when a 2004 Chevrolet Monte Carlo was traveling westbound nad hit a 2012 Thomas Freightliner bus that was making a lefthand turn from Route 248 onto Centre Street. Police said the 6 o’clock position of the car struck the 6 o’clock position of the bus. They said both vehicles were able to be driven from the scene.

Police did not identify the drivers of the vehicles.

An incident report released by police said the bus was at fault. However, charges of failure to drive at a safe speed are pending against the driver of the car.
