Blue Mountain festival showcases best of winter

From winter sports to food and drink to fireworks, Winterfest at Blue Mountain Resort over the weekend had something for everyone.

To celebrate winter, activities included a snowtubing, snowshoeing and a luge track, with the USA Luge team on hand to teach guests how to luge, letting them try it on a specially-made luge track.

“We have a bunch of different vendors up on top of the mountain,” said Blue Mountain Resort representative Moira Harrington. “It’s all about celebrating winter and the season.”

Winterfest was Saturday and Sunday with most events at the Summit Lodge.

Along with the winter activities there was food, live entertainment, a battle of the DJ’s, a kids’ corner, and fireworks.
