Palmerton residents who would like to learn more about how the governmental process works are in luck.

The borough will hold its inaugural government forum from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Palmerton Area Library, 402 Delaware Ave.

During the session, entitled Let’s Talk Government, Palmerton Borough will present its monthly forum for discussion of government operations.

Those who attend can learn about budgeting, grants, operations, services, regulatory entities, assets, and more.

Last month, borough council approved the partnership with the Palmerton Area Library for a local government forum.

Before the vote, borough Manager Autumn Canfield explained the purpose of the affiliation between the two entities.

Canfield said the library seemed an obvious choice for the location of the forum.

Canfield said that while open communication and better transparency are important aspects, education is also a top priority.
