Family History set

The Ross Township Historical Society is hosting Thomas McCullough, Assistant Archivist at the Moravian Archives, Bethlehem, PA at The Ross Township Historical Society is hosting at 11 a.m., March 9.

Mr. McCullough will present “Family History 101,” at the Ross Township Historical Museum located in the township’s annex at 258 Anchorage Road, Saylorsburg, offering methods to trace one’s family’s genealogy.

Look for the large “Open” flag.

While this is a free community event, donations are always welcome. Light refreshments will be served following the presentation. RSVP not required.

Habitat’s change

The board of directors of Monroe County Habitat for Humanity has announced that Dr. Kelly Jean Kemmerer, who has served as the agency’s Executive Director for nearly 10 years has resigned, and Scott Fabian, Habitat’s Affiliate Coordinator who has been with Habitat since 2019, has been appointed Acting Executive Director.

These changes will be effective Feb. 17, 2024.
