Thrivent is hosting a free educational event to help attendees develop a strategy to maximize Social Security benefits.

The one-hour event is at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 24 at Palmerton Area Library, 402 Delaware Avenue, Palmerton. It will be presented by Susan E. Lovejoy, financial adviser with Thrivent Financial in Lehighton.

It will cover:

• When should I apply for Social Security?

• How can I maximize my benefits?

• How will this affect my spouse?

It is open to the public.
