One person escaped serious injury in a crash around 11 a.m. Wednesday in Rush Township. The driver was traveling east on Route 54 and lost control, entering the right berm and steering off two utility poles before the vehicle came to rest on its side. The driver was evaluated by members of Tamaqua Ambulance with assistance from the Hometown Fire Company, who also maintained traffic control. Rush Township police are investigating.
