Jim Thorpe FBLA qualifies for state leadership conference

The Jim Thorpe Future Business Leaders of America have once again shown their abilities from their performance at the Regional Leadership Conference.

The regional conference is where members find out whether they qualified for the State Leadership Conference.

The schools that belong to Region 21 are Jim Thorpe, Lehighton, Weatherly, Palmerton, Stroudsburg, East Stroudsburg South, Pleasant Valley, Pocono Mountain East, and Pocono Mountain West. Jim Thorpe had 86 members qualify for states in over 40 categories.

These ranged from advertising to business concepts to graphic design.

The first place finishers were Gavin Baker and Makena Scherer (Management Information Systems); Gabriella Cerra (Introduction to Financial Math); Jack Decker, Joseph DeMarco, Logan O’Connor, Tobias Garner and Noah Pastor (Parliamentary Procedure); Jonathan Duffy (Cybersecurity)

Also, Adam Kosciolek (Network Design); Autumn McKenna (UX Design); Arianna Onofre (Introduction to Parliamentary Procedure); and Grace Ossowski (Help Desk).

The State Leadership Conference is April 7-10 at the Giant Center and Hershey Park locations.

In addition to the awards ceremony, the two new Middle School Chapters were also inducted. Students from the LB Morris Middle School and Penn Kidder Campus Middle School represented their chapters which were inducted as official FBLA Middle School Chapters.
