ON THIS DATE FEBRUARY 8, 1999

There is not a day in the life of John A. ‘Jack” Cannon that his faith in God doesn’t surface, particularly when it pertains to his belief in the Catholic church and a Catholic education.

That’s why he works tirelessly daily on behalf of Marian High School, Hometown, where he has labored to benefit the administration, teachers, coaches, parents and student there.

That service, now in its 35th year, will be recognized on St. Patrick’s Day, when the Panther Valley Irish-American Association will present its annual Shamrock Award to Cannon, its president, Joseph Dougherty of Coaldale, announced today.
