State police at Schuylkill Haven report the following:

• Victor J. Koury, 51, of Hamburg, was arrested for driving under the influence of a controlled substance after a one-vehicle crash at 10:17 p.m. Jan. 24 on Route 61 in Deer Lake Borough.

Police said he refused a medical transport by personnel from the Schuylkill Valley EMS unit.

They said he was driving a 2007 Kia Sedona that went over an embankment and became disabled. It was towed from the scene.
