Palmerton Area School District’s board of directors approved the following actions during Tuesday night’s meeting:

• Joshua Gillen as full-time custodian at Towamensing Elementary at an annual rate of $26,765 prorated effective Feb. 7.

• The resignation of Kenneth Termini as boys’ basketball head coach effective Jan. 25.

• Joseph Egan as boys basketball head coach for the remainder of the 2023-24 school year with a stipend of $6,415 prorated effective Jan. 25.

• Joseph Krempasky as boys basketball assistant coach for the remainder of the 2023-24 school year with a stipend of $4,200 prorated effective Feb. 2.

• Melissa Hoffman to teach five hours a week of homebound instruction at the professional services rate per the Palmerton Area Education Association collective bargaining agreement for thirty consecutive school days effective Feb. 7.

• Mary Kay Writer to attend the Safety-Care Trainer Recertification held at Panther Valley School District on Feb. 20 at an estimated cost of $747.42.

• A field trip request to attend the FBLA state leadership conference in Hershey from April 7-10 funded through student fundraising and the club’s budget.
