People First opens digital branch in Palmerton

A new way to bank that combines digital delivery with a human touch is now available in Palmerton.

Customers in search of a different digital banking experience need only walk inside People First Federal Credit Union’s branch at 330 Delaware Ave.

The facility marks a significant milestone for People First, introducing innovative technologies to enhance its member services.

The branch offers convenient access for local residents and businesses at its downtown location.

The selection of Palmerton was strategic, given its proximity to Lehighton, Jim Thorpe, Walnutport, and Slatington.

Steve Mertz, Executive Vice President of Growth and Strategy at People First, expressed pride in the expansion.

“We are dedicated to making our diverse suite of banking and lending products easily accessible to the community,” Mertz said. “The addition of this location further strengthens our commitment to providing accessible financial solutions.”

The Palmerton Branch is designed with a modern approach to financial services, combining digital delivery with a human touch.

The service offers internet-connected self-service technology kiosks and Interactive Teller Machines (ITMs).

“While offering cutting-edge technology, our core strengths lie in personal attention, competitive pricing, local decision-making, and exceptional service,” Mertz said.

Operating hours for the branch are from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 9 a.m. to noon Saturday. Additionally, two internal walk-up ITMs are available 24/7, ensuring continuous service for members.

People First Federal Credit Union (People First) is a federally chartered and insured credit union that has been serving Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Ohio, and West Virginia for more than 70 years. It has more than $900 million in assets and more than 72,000 members.
