Marian has announced that Maria Currie will be the next head coach of the volleyball program.

Currie is a 1999 graduate of Marian, and a 2003 graduate of Kutztown University with a BS in Psychology. She is mom to Julius, a senior at Marian and JoElle, a seventh grader at SJRS.

She has been an assistant coach with the Marian volleyball program for over 20 years.

Her focus is to create and cultivate a positive, goal-oriented program that highlights a culture that nourishes an all-around student athlete.

“I not only focus on creating a team to win, but in shaping young adults in their physical, mental and spiritual health and wellbeing. I am thrilled to be here and have this opportunity. It was exciting to meet the team and to see some familiar faces. Marian Catholic volleyball has always been a big family on and off the court, and I’m excited to bring the traditions back. We’re ready to hit the ground running.”
