Letter to the Editor: Follow how lawmakers vote

I wish to thank the Times News for listings of how our local state reps vote on proposed bills. Seems majority follow party lines not considering any good it could do for their constituents. Example minimum wage. Main argument is it will hurt small business. Who is to say with a reasonable increase, with more money to spend, that more money wouldn’t be spent at small businesses supplementing a wage increase? Pa has the second largest state legislature in the country. We have the third highest paid legislature trailing N.Y. and Cal. A 3.5% raise in 2024. Granted they have a tough job to do. Most deserve it but so do their constituents making $7.25 an hour. Can you support small business on that?
