More than 500 Brieder Grundsei of Groundsow Lodsch Nummer Elfa an da Fireline in Karbon Kounty will gather at the Towamensing Township Fire Company hall, Trachsville, for the 31st annual Fersommliong of the lodge.

The evening will feature a sumptuous dinner, Pennsylvania German dialect humor and the announcement of the accurate Groundhog Day prediction of Carbon County’s weather for the next six weeks by Wilbert Zacharias.

The event will be one of several dialect-speaking events held throughout northeastern Pennsylvania, the others including Lodge 1 an da Lecha which will meet at the Northampton Community Center, Lodge 8 an da Lizard Creek which will gather in New Ringgold and Lodge 6, Monroe County, which is also planned for Trachsville.
