Carbon County Prothonotary Kayla M. Semmel has provided a report from her office for December. A total of 425 cases were started in December the office.
They include: Assessment Appeal, 1; BOC Judgment, 99; Civil Action, 37; Court Rules, 2; Federal Judgment, 1; Judgment, 2; Mortgage Foreclosure, 4; Replevin, 2 Stip/; Waiv Liens, 1 Tax; Sale, 5; Magistrate Judge, 21; MDJ Appeals, 6; Municipal Judgment, 191; PA Judge, 14; Partition, 1; Quiet Title, 7; Custody, 9; Divorce, 9; Misc, 4; Name Change, 1; Protection From Abuse, 30; Mental Health, 8
There were a total of 40 passport applications were processed in the month of November. In addition a total of 12 renewal applicants sought assistance from the office and 46 passport photos were taken.
Passports are by appointment and pictures can now be taken in our office.
