Tamaqua police cited Sarah Reday, 36, of Tamaqua, with disorderly conduct and harassment following a Jan. 15 incident.
According to police, officers were sent to Schuylkill Avenue in Tamaqua for a disturbance. While there, police spoke to a woman who had parked her van in the middle of the street. Police said the woman had a red mark on her face and her vehicle had yellow paint that spelled out an expletive.
As police were speaking to the woman, Reday arrived and claimed the woman was following her and almost hit her.
The woman said she was in New Ringgold earlier that day tending to a home health care patient when she noticed a man show up with Reday, a former employee of the health care agency. She said she looked out the window to see Reday spray paint something on her van. At that point, she called police.
As she made her way to her home, the woman saw the same vehicle in front of her. The car stopped, and Reday exited and began yelling at her. Reday threw a bottle of sports drink on her windshield and punched her in the face.
Police said Reday admitted to throwing a can at the victim’s windshield because she said the victim tried hitting her with her vehicle.
