ON THIS DATE JANUARY 24, 1972

A reception was held on Sunday in the St. Joseph’s Club, Jim Thorpe, at which time the wives of Democratic Carbon County officials were honored. Nearly 100 people took part in the program.

Honored were the wife of Sheriff Louis D. Lisella of Summit Hill, the first Democratic sheriff in the county in 42 years, and the wives of Albert U. Koch of Lehighton and Charles E. Wildoner of Jim Thorpe, the majority commissioners.

Also present during the reception was Mrs. Carmella Lisella, 88, the mother of the sheriff.

Mrs. Helen Gimbor of Jim Thorpe was in charge of a tea that was held in conjunction with the reception.
