Cedar Crest launches master of public health

Professionals seeking to make a positive impact in public health have the opportunity to advance their studies thanks to a new, flexible online program offered at Cedar Crest College.

The Master of Public Health program accommodates part-time and full-time learners and can be completed in as little as five semesters.

The Master of Public Health program will empower students to be leaders in the dynamic field of public health and covers a wide breadth of subjects ranging from comprehensive courses in community nutrition to cultural ethics and leadership.

Led by expert faculty in the public health field, the program will equip graduates with competencies in areas such as evidence-based approaches, health care systems, planning, policy, leadership, and communication.

The need for skilled professionals in the public health field is only growing.

The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics estimates that employment in health care occupations, which includes careers in public health, will increase by 13% from 2021 to 2031, resulting in about two million new jobs.
