Faith Alive Church

Faith Alive Church, 678 Pine St., Palmerton (Bowmanstown) holds two services each Sunday with Pastor Rob Timlin. A contemporary service is held at 8:30 a.m., followed by Sunday school for all ages at 9:45 a.m. A traditional service is held at 11 a.m.

• Jan. 24: Prayer and Praise at 7 p.m.

• Jan. 28: 8:30 a.m. worship; 9:45 a.m. Sunday school; 11 a.m. worship; 6 p.m. Youth Group.

• Jan. 31: Prayer and Praise at 7 p.m.

January mission: Child Evangelism Fellowship of Carbon-Lehigh counties: Child Evangelism Fellowship is devoted to reaching children with the Gospel of Jesus Christ throughout the year. CEF has been operating in Carbon county for over 60 years. Allyson Carter and Debra Siglin are committed to furthering the ministry of CEF in our area. Good News Clubs are still offered in the local public schools and it is their desire to continue and expand in our communities. Please consider supporting Good News Clubs through CEF. Upcoming events:

• Feb. 3: Ladies event, The Blues Buster Event, 1-3 p.m. in Fellowship Hall. Enjoy a cup of hot chocolate and treats; socialize with friends and make new friends. You will also learn a new craft. • The church will host a group night out to the Phantoms vs. Penguins hockey game. Tickets are available for the March 9 event. The game begins at 6:05 p.m. Tickets include a St. Patrick’s themed hat and McDonald’s value meal voucher. To sign up, look for a sign-up sheet in the lobby or call Sue Moyer at 610-852-2805. Deadline to sign up is Feb. 23.
