Robert Bechtel was elected president of the Carbon County 4-H Horse and Pony Club at its first meeting of the season last Saturday at Circle Stables.

Other officers elected were Barbara Stehle, Jim Thorpe, vice president; Sandra Wojcieckowski, Jim Thorpe, and Irene Laurer, Lehighton, secretaries; Carol Weiksner, Jim Thorpe, treasurer; Joseph Karper, Jim Thorpe, Candace Barry and Ronald Binder, Lehighton, council members; and Sharon Deats, Jim Thorpe, and Arlene Fronheiser, Lehighton, news reporters.

Francis Stehle, Jim Thorpe, and Charles Casler were unanimously named club leaders.
