January 17, 1977 - St. Ann’s Cas Kosciolek reaches 1,000 points in his CYO career during a 50-25 victory over St. Joseph’s of Summit Hill. Kosciolek nets 26 points during the contest to raise his total to 1,008. He achieves the milestone in 40 games, all at the varsity level. Kosciolek scored 339 points in 14 games as a sixth grader and 452 in 18 games as a seventh grader during his previous two seasons, and had netted 191 points during his first seven games of his eighth-grade year. The winners also receive eight points from both Pat McCall and Rick Ogozalek.
