A Reading man received three citations following a Jan. 4 traffic stop by Tamaqua police.

Police were on patrol when a vehicle with a suspended license plate passed them on Route 309 around 4:07 p.m.

Officers spoke to the driver, Joseph Feliciano Majias, 39, who said his license was expired. Police noticed a full and open can of beer in the center console. Police dumped the beer and determined that Feliciano Majias had a suspended Florida license.

He was cited for driving with a suspended license, no insurance and open container.

Police had the vehicle towed.
