State police at Bethlehem

State police at the Bethlehem barracks reported they were summoned this month to investigate four separate incidents of retail theft (shoplifting):

• Police were called to the Target store in Hanover Township at 4:23 p.m. Dec. 24 and arrested Jarrett Berg, 24, of Bethlehem, after he left the store with $167.28 worth of merchandise that was not paid for.

• The Weis store, Route 873, Schnecksville, was the victim of a shoplifting incident at 3:26 p.m. Oct. 30. Police said two people left the store with $211.73 worth of items, fleeing the scene in a Chevrolet SUV.

• Police arrested Sheri Correa, 36, of Allentown, after she was apprehended by asset protection personnel at the Target Store in Hanover Township at 3:20 p.m. Dec. 11. Police said she was caught stealing $42.48 worth of items.

• A 19-year-old Bethlehem man was charged after police were called to the Target store in Hanover Township at 11:45 a.m. Dec. 22. They said he was caught “under-scanning” $123 worth of items before leaving the store.
