Faith Alive Church

Faith Alive Church, 678 Pine St., Palmerton (Bowmanstown) holds two services each Sunday with Pastor Rob Timlin. A contemporary service is held at 8:30 a.m., followed by Sunday school for all ages at 9:45 a.m. A traditional service is held at 11 a.m.

• Jan. 6: 1:30 p.m. Communion demonstration in the church kitchen for all interested in becoming new Communion stewards.

• Jan. 7: Communion Sunday, 8:30 a.m. worship; 9:45 a.m. Sunday school; 11 a.m. worship.

• Jan. 8: Church council, 7 p.m.

• Jan. 10: Prayer and Praise at 7 p.m.

• Jan. 14: 8:30 a.m. worship; 9:45 a.m. Sunday school; 11 a.m. worship; also 9:45 a.m. Rediscovering Our Spiritual Gifts and Your Spiritual Gifts Inventory. Starting Jan. 14 for eight weeks, during Sunday school in the choir room. Led by Rob Moyer. Sign up in the lobby.

• Jan. 15: Newsletter items due, 10 a.m. quilting group.

• Jan. 17: Prayer and Praise at 7 p.m.

• Jan. 20: Ice cream social, 6:30 p.m.

• Jan. 21: 8:30 a.m. worship; 9:45 a.m. Sunday school; 11 a.m. worship.

• Jan. 24: Prayer and Praise at 7 p.m.

• Jan. 28: 8:30 a.m. worship; 9:45 a.m. Sunday school; 11 a.m. worship; 6 p.m. Youth Group.

• Jan. 31: Prayer and Praise at 7 p.m.

• Feb. 3: Ladies event, The Blues Buster Event, 1-3 p.m. in Fellowship Hall. Enjoy a cup of hot chocolate and treats; socialize with friends and make new friends. You will also learn a new craft. Upcoming event:

The church will host a group night out to the Phantoms vs. Penguins hockey game.

Tickets are available for the March 9 event. The game begins at 6:05 p.m. Tickets include a St. Patrick’s themed hat and McDonald’s value meal voucher.
