The Palmerton Borough Council named its officers and appointed commissions at its meeting Thursday night.

Rodger Danielson was again appointed borough manager, secretary, treasurer and streets commissioner. Assistant secretary is Donna McGarry; Michael Ozalas, solicitor; Harvey Emert, code enforcement officer; and John Parsons Jr., sewage enforcement officer.

On commissions: Dr. John Nicholson, board of health; Michael R. Bloomfield and Andy Jordan, zoning hearing board; Michael A. Raub, municipal authority; Robert Gruber, planning commission; Frank Hager, hospital authority; Bill Hopkins, David Toss, Bob Merkel, George Beechay, James North and Michael Sassaman, BOCA Board of Appeals.
