ON THIS DATE JANUARY 2, 1992

Three elected Carbon County officials, and another official who was appointed by the commissioners, bid farewell to county government today as a new administration began their terms.

Saying goodbye were commissioners Albert U. Koch and Charles E. Wildoner, Controller John Williams and Solicitor Joseph J. Velitsky, Esq.

Koch served as a commissioner for 24 years before his retirement in 1991. Wildoner was elected to serve from 1972-87 and in May of 1991 was appointed to fill the unexpired term of the late Luther Getz, who died while in office. Velitsky served as solicitor for 15 years and Williams served for 16 years before his retirement.
