John Vignone, the business manager, assistant board secretary and wage tax officer in the Panther Valley School District since December, 1982, confirmed this morning he is resigning in early January to become the new business manager and board secretary in the Palmerton Area School District.

According to Palmerton Superintendent of Schools Ronald Mihalko, Vignone is expected to be hired by the school board at its January meeting.

Vignone, a Summit Hill resident, said he will be submitting his letter of resignation to Joseph Olexy, president of the Panther Valley Board of Education.
